I don’t really have much of a
sporting background. I played
some rugby in school and some
squash but was largely lethargic
otherwise. I picked triahtlon
because it seemed like a good
challenge. I began with the Tri-to-
Beat in Lilliput, 2005. Bike would
be the discipline I'm most
comfortable with. The bit I DO
love is crossing the finishing line
of a triathlon race, there is no
feeling like it.
My proudest moment was representing Ireland in the
European AG's in Athlone and afterwards standing at the
Lough Owel diving board having my photo taken with the
other Midlanders.
So far I don’t have any embarrassing moments!!
I would love to see greater participation across the juniors &
younger age groupers and an Irish medal in the Olympic
games!
Ironman.... someday!
