One of my proudest moments is sitting in Frayne’s having breakfast
before one of our club events and having a pint in Casey’s that night
afterwards.
Embarrassing moment - I suppose getting passed by a Polish
fisherman on a mountain bike during the marshal race last year. In
fact he caught up with me and did say he cycled for the Polish
National Team. The fact that he could speak and I couldn’t was a bit
worrying.
Ironman – been there done that, Ironman UK 12 hr 30 minutes.
My biggest wish is that I will not be sitting in a hospital bed someday
regretting that I am not able to do another triathlon.
My sporting background is hurling,
running and squash. I always
wanted to do a triahtlon after I saw
a documentary about Dave Scott
who came out of retirement at 40
and won 2nd place in Hawaii. I met
3 girls in Cafe en Seine years ago
who told me about this small event
called Tri-to-Beat Cancer run by
their friend Ann Burns. I signed up
the next day!!
