My sporting background is
swimming, basketball, football,
camogie in school... Drinking,
smoking and general sitting in
college.
Why pick triathlon? I could never
run but Vera roped a few of us
into doing a 10k run last
November. It was probably the
first time I was anyway fit since
school. I could swim a bit and did
learn how to ride a bike when I
was little so I figured a triathlon
would be a good challenge and a
great way to get a bit healthier!!
My proudest moment in triathlon was crossing the line of Fighting Cancer Tri in
under 1:30. I was smiling for a week.
My most embarrassing moment in triathlon was swimming down the Moy when
the sewage overflow kicked in. It wasn't so much embarrassing then as when you
tell people and they slowly back away from you.
Ironman? Who knows? I've yet to do an Olympic so I'll try that first though.
My biggest wish for triathlon is to keep getting better and to keep enjoying it!
My agenda for the future? I'd like to do an Olympic distance next year and then
hopefully do the full National Series lot at some stage.
Who would I like to beat in the future? Elena Maslova, Aoife Lynch and Sinead!!!
Realistically I'd like to beat my 2010 times.
